Pelt: Flameshadow's pelt has taken on the color and appearance of that of a peculiar color; its a combination of ginger and white, adding to the mix, a bit of light brown even. she has brown/ginger. her face, at times, appears to have a brown-striped mask to it. due to her breed, it is constantly fluffed out as if she had rolled out of her nest and forgotten to groom that day. her whiskers are long and painted white and the fur inside her ears are slightly come out, though its breed once again. her fur is not very good when it comes to hiding, as the coloring shoes though in the day it shines brightly, taking on the glossy look. in the night, it takes on a totally different perceptive, the hue of it turning to a dark brown tone. its perfect for night-time hunting or surprise battles, if needed. her eyes take on the shade of a forest green, though they were a rather light green when she were younger.

History: Flameshadow's history, like most cats who are that of Twolegplace or rouge and join the Clans, is that not very well known. Though what she does have in common with those cats is having run away - obviously - at some point or another. When she was younger, there were few deaths to Flameshadow's family name.. mostly due to her barely having any family at all, to begin with;
Though, to the outside work - out of her dear mother's protection - there was death setting out left and right, never ceasing its hold on the innocent or young. As her mother used to say though, "you are never too young to die."
Her mother was a high queen. Or she thought of herself as, that is. She was a purebred Maine Coon, always priding herself to it. Despite, she was a rouge. Though, she was still quite the character, she would tell you. She is what made Flameshadow what she is to this day... if not anything worse.
Her mother was a proud female by the name of Dewheart. When Flameshadow and her two younger siblings were much much younger, Dewheart used to go on and on about Clan life, how amazing it was and... most of all exciting; Flameshadow used to follow her mother everywhere, constantly asking why if the Clans were so amazing, why she left. Dewheart would simply glare at her and ignore the question. To this day, Flameshadow can only guess the worse of things to answer why her mother left the Clans.
Shadow's father was a stud. He also thought highly of himself, giving females left and right "satisfactory" when it was called. He was a swooner, always sweeping them ladies off their paws. He had no high lineage and nothing to be proud of in reality, but you told him that and he'd claw your ears off.
At least that was how Dewheart described him.
Flameshadow never did meet her father; and she is not exactly sure she wanted to. Some days, she knew, it'd be much easier if a male cat had been around to help scrounge out food when it came winter. Other times, she hated him for being such a... cat user, basically. Satisfactory her tail, she'd always say.
No matter; Flameshadow could not help who she was nor who she came from. As hard as she wished upon her little heart that she could. Her mother never let her hear the end of the, either. "Your father was a proud tom and handsome at that." here, she'd pause and add, "you have nothing to be ashamed of, child." she used to say.
Which is exactly why the reasons explaining why on the night of August twenty-second, Flameshadow and her two siblings were born - a male and another female.
From the beginning, on all accounts, her brother was the weakest. Therefore, as they grew, he was the first to die.
Flameshadow's brother's death was not that much of a shock nor did it bother her. Mostly because she usually played with her sister more, considering her mother was always scolding her if one of other two kits tried to play with their brother. Her mother sensed that any wrong moves could kill the boy, though not playing did no help in the end, Flameshadow thought out later.
Back then, for the most part, Flameshadow did not yet understand death anyhow. At least, not as well as she does now and especially at such a young age she was not expected to. As most kits are told if their siblings died, she was told that her brother was in the sky. No explanations of what happened nor when or why, just that, "he's in the sky now."
Not too long after the death of her brother, did her younger sister die too. By then Flameshadow could now comprehend what happened, but to wake to find your own sister died at the hands of a disease nobody could cure was more than enough for such a young feline to take; rouge or not.
Her sister had died of a disease that is even yet to be discovered; at least that is what she was led to believe, even now. The disease had been rapidly spreading over the hard years, able to intact itself from smaller creatures to large. It started with the fleas, then the mice and race, rabbit, felines, dogs. This made all humans in the Twolegplace wary of animals. Especially the cats, they were most vunerable they said due to the obvious fact that cats are much more independent than any other animals that resided in town. Leading to the fact that they spread the disease not only to the town, but as the saying goes: what goes in, can go out.
Not even a moon after her sister died, did her mother die too. She had been among one of the first felines and dogs to be shot down after the city put up noticies saying all felines but the pure were to be put down or shot.
How did they know if a feline was even "pure" or not?
They didn't.
Exactly why they shot any cat any human who saw a cat, shot it on the whim. If a cat were to appear in their back yards - neighbor's, anyone's - then it was shot.
And that is exactly how her mother went down, with a bullet to skull. For days after hearing the news, Flameshadow almost blamed herself; not even almost, constantly. Mostly because her mother had been out scrouging for scraps to feed Flameshadow and herself.
The weeks passed quickly and Flameshadow soon found herself almost in the middle of a war. Felines and canines - for once in lifetimes - working together. If you were either feline or canine and a gun was pointed at you, no matter from who, you were to attack. No questions asked. Cats and dogs' elders all alike and around town agreed, "save yourself."
Flameshadow wanted none of this. She wanted no part of any of it. If anyone were to point a gun at her, she simply ran for her young life. It was that simple. Why were they attacking back when they knew there was a ninety-five percent chance they'd be killed off eventually anyhow?
She wanted none of this, since the beginning when it first started. She wanted peace and quiet; exactly why she ran away. Mostly to "save herself" and partly just to get away from what she called absolute madness.
