History:
The she-kit was born to parents by the names of Jade and Levi. Jade was a loner living in the world of hardships and suffering while Levi was a gentle pampered kittypet. The story is a simple on, like many others, the two cats fell in love and it ended with kits being born. Then the tragic part comes -- Levi's humans thought that poor Jade was terrible and mangy and would have nothing to do with the pregnant she-cat. Levi was locked inside the house leaving his mate defenseless and on her own.
Jade walked the streets of Twoleg place, the kits being due any day. With no where to turn she lay in an alley way where pain and agony struck as she went into labor. But then one of the back doors opened in the alley way and out walked what seemed like a lonely twoleg. Scared, Jade stood and began to limp away as fast as she could. She looked back to see that the creature was not trying to bring her harm but to help her. The sweet smell of tuna filled her nostrils as her paws carried her back to the two leg.
Finally comfortable in her new home, but a simple day later, pain struck once again. This time for sure, the tiny she-cat knew kits were coming. Blood spilled out of her as she pushed the first kit out, a tiny she-kit barely grasping it’s life. The young mother was losing much more blood than she was supposed to. Another push -- nothing. One more and a tom came out, strong and healthy. Jade breathing became heavy as she clung to her pitiful life. The she-cat knew she wasn’t done, though, one more kit resided within her. Her first kits began to suckle as she push trying to get her last beauty out. But there was no luck, only pools of blood.
With the last of her strength she pushed the last she-kit falling out. Jade put the last kit against her belly, allowing her the nutritious milk the resided there.
Then the twoleg tom walked into the room, probably wandering about all of the noise. He found Jade dead and the kits barely holding onto their lives. Luckily this man lived in the back of the pet shop that he owned and had plenty of formula to feed the tiny kits.
The first tiny she-kit lost her life just minutes before the man came back and the tom died not much later. You could tell the poor twoleg man was in agony. He didn’t think that the last she-cat would survive much longer, but she pulled through in the end. Nursing on the formula until she was old enough to eat the tasteless substance called ‘cat food’.
For reasons unknown to the tabby cat, he called her his ‘music box’ and name that she loved to be called. When ever she heard the gentle words she would come to the man. He was always nice to her and played games with toy mice but as the days progressed his face began to sadden.
The man was not able to care for the kit any longer. He gave her up to a nice family with a pleasant child to play with. As the she-cat grew up she couldn’t help but wonder about the twoleg man that had loved her and she had loved back. The one thing that makes her happy no matter what, is the name she now owns, Musicbox.
