Dreams sitting in the darkness

Ravenpaw almost screamed as she jerked awake, she calmed her breathing seeing she was in the Medicine cat's den, she guessed she had fallen asleep while working, she sighed it didn't matter to her where she slept she hated the apprentices den as of lately. Ravenpaw glanced around quietly the mixed herbs sorted nicely into their piles, the nests all made up for the sickly and injured, sun peering through the entrance, she grumbled slightly, having been attacked by nightmares didn't help her get any sleep at all, she growled and bristled out her fur slightly and then groomed her pelt back down evenly, making it almost shine as she stepped into the sunlight. She took another few steps into the sunlight to get warmer as she did her limp was easily noticable. Ravenpaw sat down and sighed waiting her her mentor to be up.

A silver shadow walked up from behind the Medicine Cat den holding watered down moss in her jaw. Her green eyes glowed when she saw her apprentice up and outside already. She sat the moss down. "Good morning, Ravenpaw. I hope your adjusting well to my den." Sagepool purred.

Ravenpaw's icy blue eyes gazed at her mentor Sagepool, she nodded slightly, "It's better then the apprentices den" She muttered quietly, she had always hated the apprentices den, only now more the ever. She sighed and looked at the moss, "What are we going to learn today?" She asked slightly curious, Ravenpaw was always eager to learn something new, she wanted an escape and this was a good start, it helped keep her mind busy.

Sagepool nodded looking down at her moss. "I was thirsty this morning..." She meowed trailing off a bit, then changed the subject. "I can show you around the territory where all the herbs are. I think that would be a nice first day."

Ravenpaw nodded slightly, "Alright" She muttered quietly, she looked at her mentor with her icy blue eyes before looking out at the territory she folded her ears back and bit and stood up her shoulder looking out of place she fixed it quietly and was ready to go, waiting for Sagepool to lead the way.

Sagepool smiled getting to her paws. "Alright then. Lets get going." She purred.

Ravenpaw nodded slightly unsure but didn't show it in her cold gaze, she was already on her paws and ready to follow.

"I'm going to take you to the twoleg place first, thats where catmint grows in gardens." Sagepool meowed walking out of the camp with Ravenpaw.

Ravenpaw nodded slightly as she padded after her mentor, she looked around quietly her gold gaze catching everything that moved, her ears perked listening for noises, and she remained walking with a slight limp.

Sagepool looked down at Ravenpaw. "The only thing really bad about going to the twoleg place is dags and kittypets...mostly the twolegs stay in their dens." She meowed informing her apprentice about the dangers of going to the twoleg place.

Ravenpaw nodded knowing the dangers that she listed, she had be told before, "I know" She muttered quietly, "But it is not two-legs, or dogs that I am afraid of...." She trailed off not saying another word as she stalked after her mentor without a sound her gaze looking ahead at the place they were heading, her ears remained folded back but was alert to sounds that came from around them.

"Are you afraid of monsters?" The silver-grey Medicine Cat asked quietly to Ravenpaw.

[~Ravenpaw~]

Ravenpaw thought about it, "Yes, but not the ones you are thinking of" She said quietly, "I have never seen a Monster on the thunderpaths" She said.

"So do you have bad dreams about it?" Sagepool asked Ravenpaw quietly. "Its OK, I have dreams too. Sometimes good and sometimes bad..."

[~Ravenpaw~]

"Only for you" Ravenpaw muttered, "All of my dreams are bad" She said looking down quietly folding her ears back.
